David Trullo (born 1969 in Madrid) is a Spanish visual artist and Photographer, he was artist in residence in the Irish Museum of Modern Art (2002) and selected in Backlight International Triennial for Photography, Tampere, Finland (2005).
He studied Fine Arts at Universidad Complutense de Madrid before transitioning to professional practice, beginning with photography and incorporating video from 1999 onward. His work often employs manipulation of visual archives and iconographic symbols to challenge conventional narratives, as seen in series like Fishers of Men, which merges apostolic imagery with motifs from gay subcultures such as "bear" aesthetics to probe group identity dynamics.
